16 Feb Palm Springs Modern 2015

Land Rover kindly offered me the opportunity to visit Palm Springs, CA during Modernism Week in February 2015. In addition to getting to test drive a new Discovery Sport, there were also tours of all the houses on the program and an additional private party at one overlooking the valley. It is definitely a place to be immersed in the architectural vibe of the 50’s and 60’s. But it wasn’t all about celebrating the past, as the last couple houses were modern continuations of the ideas explored during Palm Springs midcentury boom time. Here’s a selection of photos of some of the houses. There’s more to read about the event in an article I wrote on PSFK and more photos to see in a gallery on Flickr.
